Interventions

At Jackson, we believe in supporting the whole child by meeting students where they are and providing the tools they need to succeed. Our intervention programs are designed to provide targeted academic support to students who may need additional assistance beyond the general classroom setting. Interventions are available within the school day for both Math and English Language Arts (ELA).

Student placement in math and ELA intervention courses is carefully determined using multiple data points, including iReady Diagnostic scores, CAASPP results, grade data, and teacher recommendations. This comprehensive approach ensures that each student receives the appropriate level of support to meet their academic needs and promote growth. Furthermore, we continue to review student data throughout the year to ensure proper placement and move students in or out of intervention courses as needed to best support their academic progress.
